Worship Service for 1/10/2021
GREETING!
We remember the baptism of Jesus today, reminded that we all have the gift of new life, a starting again with God, a renewing our commitments and a reorienting our lives to God. The same God whose voice called out over the waters, who called down from above the waters of Jesus’ baptism, is the same voice that calls us Beloved, and calls us into the promise of new life.
*We keep the family of Bruce Curran in prayer, his wife Pam and his children. Bruce is a friend of Bruce Turner’s and has been helping our church office with some technology issues. Bruce entered the hospital near the end of December with COVID19 and passed away on January 5.
*Prayers our church officers, and all who lead, as we move into 2021. Make our decisions we wise and according to God’s will.
*We offer the prayers of our hearts for the Lord’s healing of our nation, our world, and all of God’s people.
On this day of remembering the Lord’s baptism, may the Spirit of God, like a dove, rest upon your hearts also, as we offer and thanksgiving and praise this day. Remember your baptism and be thankful. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
