Pastor - The Rev. Dr. Paul Burns
Rev. Dr. Burns has a Doctorate of Ministry and Christian Coaching from Western Seminary, Portland, Oregon, and a Master of Divinity from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Austin, Texas. Dr. Burns also has a Bachelor of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance from the University of Oklahoma. He has Clinical Pastoral Education from Methodist Dallas Medical Center and is a Certified Christian Leadership Coach from Coach Approach Ministries. In addition to his religious training, Rev Burns has other professional experiences working for Fidelity Personal Investments in New York, NY, Fidelity Investments Private Wealth Management Group, Morristown, NJ, and Fidelity Investments Retirement Services Co. Cathy Schingle - Administrative Assistant
Cathy Schingle is a graduate of North Mesquite High School and Executive Secretary School of Business. She has been a faithful member of St. Mark Presbyterian Church in Dallas for over 60 years and brings more than 25 years of experience as an administrative assistant, along with one year of experience as an office manager. Cathy is passionate about serving others and supporting the ministry of the church through her work. She is a proud mother of one son, two stepchildren, and a loving grandmother to two granddaughters. In her free time, Cathy and her husband enjoy spending their vacations walking along the beach in Rockport, Texas. |

Fred P. Watkins - Music Director
Fred is a Certified Director of Music in the Presbyterian Church and a long time member of the Presbyterian Association of Musicians. He has served churches full and part-time as Director of Music, Education, and/or youth in Texas, Indiana and Virginia from First Presbyterian Dallas and Plano to Epworth Methodist Church in Norfolk, Virginia, to First Methodist Church, South Bend Indiana. Fred has degrees in music from Southern Methodist University, BM, MM, in voice, lyric theater, choral conducting, and studies in theology and sacred music at Perkins Theology School and an MS degree in RTVF from the University of North Texas. Fred was an assistant professor of music in voice and Lyric Theater at SMU and Bethel College. As a professional singer, he performed with orchestras all over the United States such as the Dallas Symphony, Chicago Symphony, and with opera and musical theaters at City Center NYC, Dallas, Ft. Worth and Old Dominion, San Francisco, and Santa Fe Opera companies. He was a member of the Roger Wagner Chorale and other professional choral groups. Fred is one of the original singers on the Dallas Cowboys fight song. He directs features, commercials, educational, experimental, and short narrative films. Fred served five years as the President of the Denton Bach Society and seven years as a soloist with the Denton Bach Choir. He recently retired as the Director of Undergraduate Curriculum and Associate Chair for the Department of Radio, TV, and Film at the University of North Texas where he was also a Lecturer in film production, narrative producing/directing, and screenwriting. He has several films in distribution and festivals and continues to direct commercials and features. Fred currently serves on Grace Presbytery's Communication and Technology Committee. |

Melody S. Davis - Organist
Melody has a Master of Music, in Chamber and Music Accompanying, from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance, from Mississippi College. She has been organist and pianist for numerous churches in Mississippi and Texas. Melody has also served as Collaborative Pianist at Mississippi College, Houston Baptist University, University of Houston, and Dallas Baptist University. Since, 1999, She has operated a piano studio specializing in the Suzuki method. She served as President of the Dallas Southwest Music Teachers Association for 2005-2007. Melody has been teaching piano, choir, and band at Inspired Vision Middle and High School in Dallas, Texas since 2009. Melody is married to Bill and together they have one son, Jake. |
