Worship Service for 1/17/2021
GREETING!
God knows us inside and out, through and through. God seeks us and place his hand on us as a reminder that wherever we go, whatever we speak, God already knows. For this wonderful knowledge that whoever we are and wherever we go, God is with us, we offer our praise and thanksgiving.
*Following the Zoom Service of Ordination and Installation at 12 p.m. (noon) on January 17th, we will enter a time of prayer. I will ask that all persons mute their sound until I call a name and ask if you have a joy or concern to share, whether it be someone known, a situation, or a heart prayer without sharing a name. Once we have offered these, I will offer a collective prayer. We obviously continue to keep these in our prayers: Tom and Michele, Sylvia and Tom, Janice, Janet, the Parkers and many others whose names I pray we share.
OPENING PRAYER
God, as the Psalmist acknowledged your creative presence in such an intimate and personal way, so we affirm your presence with us in a wonderful and personal way--in the relationship established through Jesus Christ and through the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you, God, for reaching out to us in Jesus and touching us with your Spirit; we turn towards you now in gratitude, seeking to love as we have been loved. Amen.
