Worship Service for 1/3/2021
GREETINGS!
Arise! Shine! The light you have been waiting for is here! Darkness has been banished! God's light of hope floods the earth. God's light comes to us all. We ask the Lord to make us ready to journey to this Light. We ask the Lord to prepare our hearts to receive this Light, the one we call Jesus!
Good morning this Lord’s Day from Eastminster Presbyterian Church. As you can tell from this video, I took a little venture of my own. I am not in the sanctuary today, but settled quietly in the sanctuary we call home. So, I join all of you watching this morning from the comfort of your homes, and pray that the Spirit fills your space as my space has been filled. As we move forward into 2021, I pray health and healing for individuals, for churches, for governments and for all who need to realize that the Light of Christ was, is and will be with us always. And as we share this Lord’s meal on this first Sunday of 2021, may our hearts and minds be opened to all the “epiphanies” the Lord will show us.
We continue to keep Sylvia and Tom Falcon in prayer as Sylvia has suffered a setback. In our prayers we lift up Bill Parker and Doris as Bill recovers from surgery. For our world as we have the opportunity to move forward in faith and share the peace of Christ, we pray.
May the Lord be with us as we journey into 2021!
Pastor Sherry
