Worship Service for 2/7/2021
GREETING!
We gather to worship God, whose creative imagination never fails; whose steadfast love never weakens; who walks with us through eternity. And in our gathering we vow that for the sake of God we will search for the downtrodden. For the sake of Jesus, we will lift up all who have fallen. For the sake of the Holy Spirit, we will walk with the weary. We welcome all in the name of our Lord!
*Please keep Minerva in prayer as she prepares for a hysterectomy on February 22.
*Prayers of thanksgiving as Judy Moreland and her sister Jan continue to recover from COVID19
*For continued restoration to full health for Tom and Michele, we pray, and give thanksgiving to God for Tom’s return home.
*As Janice Bell continues her chemotherapy treatments, we pray for relief from the many side effects.
*Please remember to pray for the church leadership as they listen for the Spirit’s voice of guidance in this continuing pandemic.
Steps are being taken to provide livestreaming of the services when we are able to worship together again in the sanctuary. This will also allow us to continue the practice of providing the service on our website, YouTube channel, FaceBook and other media sources for those who are not able to gather.
The Re-Entry Task Force continues to follow the latest information and facts about the virus, particularly as it relates to Dallas and surrounding counties. A Stage-1 re-entry plan, which covers return to the sanctuary, is in place, and when it is time to return that plan will be shared in a multitude of ways.
OPENING PRAYER
May this time of worship, God, be a true expression of our desire to praise and glorify you for the many ways in which you bless us, and may our lives reveal our gratitude in all we think, and do, and say. This we pray in Jesus' name. Amen
