Worship Service for 6/7/2020
Dear family and friends,
This day, wherever you gather to worship, you stand on holy ground because our Lord stands with you. And with the Lord there is peace. So, may the peace of our Lord be with you!
We celebrate Holy Communion today, so I invite you to prepare not only bread and cup, but prepare your hearts with prayer and reflection and thanksgiving to God for this meal that asks of us to remember the sacrifice of our Lord, and to look forward to his coming again.
This week my heart is grateful for Lewis, Vicki and AbbyGayle as they so beautifully helped with worship. For Chandra’s continued keeping us informed and for the above and beyond ways that Fred continues to make worship move from words on a page to images that fill our spirits…thank you!
Please keep Bruce Turner and the family in your prayers as his sister, Cissy, has tested positive for COVID19.
Kathy Kreger asks for prayer for her co-worker, Charlotte Whitted who lost her father-in-law this week and is traveling to Tennessee for funeral arrangements.
May the family and friends of George Floyd, the families and friends of all of us…multi-colored children created by God be comforted with the peace that our Lord can give, and may we all seek to live by these words from Romans: Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Hear our prayer: Lord Jesus, we ask you to give us all around peace of mind, body, soul, and spirit. Heal us. Guide our paths through life that we may be at peace with one another. Let your angels of peace go ahead of us all when we go out and stay by our sides when we return. In Jesus' name. Amen.
